The Wedding

My brother Scott and his wife Nicol were sealed on Friday, Sept. 28th in the Logan, LDS Temple. They both looked so happy and it was a lovely day. I didn't get a lot of pics of the bride and groom but some of the other snap shots I got were kind of fun.

Here is one of my family. Somehow Eliza was looking away in every picture we got.

This is my sister Heather with our niece Maggie. Aren't they beautiful?

Here are the sisters of the groom. In order of age (youngest to oldest). Jessica, Heather, Jenni, Me, and Bekah.

This is my brother Layne with his handsome son Brigham who is now 4 months old.

I love this shot of Daniel and Liesel. Do you think they look alike?

Eliza loved the flowers and wanted to pick them all.
Here is Liesel, our little charmer.

Thanks Emily for watching our kids during the wedding! You are a great sport. Congrats Scott and Nicol on this great occasion. We hope married life is bliss!

It's a Girl!

That's right. Baby #3 is a little girl. I have felt so different with this pregnancy and craved different foods that I was sure it was a boy. So I wanted to know so that I could plan. And lucky us--we get another girl. I was so surprised. She was so funny during the ultrasound. Moving and kicking. She kept her hands up by her head the whole time. When I saw her doing it, I pictured her saying, "What is going on out there? Can't you just let me sleep?" I just can't wait to see what this new little girl is like. With how different her two sisters are from each other, it will be fun to see how she fits in the mix. Oh baby we are so thrilled that you are coming and can't wait to shower you in pink!

Loads and Loads of Laundry

Today was laundry day. One of those tasks that seem never-ending. Today we washed sheets and blankets and towels and every piece of clothing the girls own except for what they were wearing. Normally it takes me all week to get the laundry folded after it is washed. Isn't it enough that it is all clean? But Daniel cleaned the kitchen tonight and let me sit and fold. So we got five of the six loads folded. Hopefully it won't take me until next Monday to get it folded.

Caught in the Act

Nap time is the only time I can get anything done at our house. So I usually try to squeeze as much into that two and a half hours as possible. Some times I hear Eliza stirring before I go and get her. Well today was a bad day to leave her in her room for a few extra minutes. When I finally went to get her I found her with and empty bottle of finger nail polish and she looked like this.

Story Time with Ms. Nancy

Today we had story time with our neighbor Ms. Nancy. She comes over two or three days a week to read a story to the girls. And the girls love it.
Generally Liesel wants a book all to herself.
And Eliza likes to look at the days 'new' book and at the old book that Ms. Nancy has left with us between visits.
Just before Nancy leaves they have to sing a song or play a game. Today they played "Ring Around the Rosy."
It is so fun to have such a great neighbor who loves the girls so much. We all look forward to story time.

Daddy's Little Helpers

Tonight dad was home before the sun set and he and the girls set out to tackle the back lawn that had become a mini forest. With Daniel's busy schedule it has been nearly impossible to find time to fire up the lawn mower. Luckily he had plenty of help picking up the grass clippings.
Eliza would pick up as much as she could and then she would say, "I want more!" To which her patient dad would show her another pile to start on. Liesel didn't want to be left out of the action. She probably got more rubbed into her clothes and hands then into the bucket but it was awesome!
To bad that the camera starts to become a distraction from a great project. Eliza wants pictures of her and to watch while I take them. Silly girl. She was going 120% tonight though. She is so tough.
