Wasn't Halloween just last week?

Okay that was Thanksgiving....check that....it was Daniel's Birthday. Yeah that is how behind I am....sorry. So here is a quick Five on Friday recap.

1. Our Thanksgiving was fantastic. We had our own little party right at home and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, family fun holiday. The girls helped us all morning working on the dinner. There favorite chores were making the nut cups (tragically: no picture taken), munching on Dad's bean dip, and the pudding pies. After nap we also had a fun scavenger hunt with "Up" at the end. It was a terrific day.

2. Black Friday! I could hardly sleep for all the excitement. So I left the house at 3:15am. As I was driving to JCPenny I wondered why I was doing such a crazy thing. The I remembered the four other shoppers I could take with me if I waited until daylight. I was thrilled with my decision and even more thrilled with my Great Deals!

3. I was sick when I found a whole load of Levi's from my dryer covered in Red Crayon. Don't you even fret....I found the miracle solution....2 cups Tide, 1 cup Oxiclean, 1/2 cup Borax, 1 cup Shout, 1 cup white Vinegar. Do you want to see the results of a quick spot treat and re-wash....

4. I had a great time doing a quick photo shoot for this cute family. Here are two of my favorite shots.

5. I guess I have been spending a little too much time with my sewing machine lately and have neglected everything else. I think Daniel will be overjoyed when Christmas Eve has come and my project time has run out. What can I say...I have my mother's jeans.

Five on Friday

1. This little guy has been fighting an ear infection for most of the month but he seems to be returning to his normal smiley self. He is four months now and bigger every day.2. I celebrated another birthday last week. Daniel was supper thoughtful but it still turned out to be a "Mom" birthday. All of you mom's will probably understand.

3. Lydia surprised us all with a 103 degree fever this week. But with a little Motrin and a Priesthood blessing she perked right up. This picture scares Daniel to death. Sick with a fever, messy hair, and still can you say 'NO' to that face?
4. Anyone up for some holiday fun? Eliza was and loving it!
5. Currently I am in the middle of about 10 Christmas projects. I keep thinking of another 'little something' I could make and adding it to the list. Do any of you do that? My favorite project pattern can be found here.

Happy Friday!

For Claire

Hey Friends and Family,

Just wanted to post a link to a good friends blog. Benson & Claire, as you can read here, are both in need of liver and kidney transplants. Due to some complications, Claire underwent open heart surgery on top of the daily dialysis and the pending transplant. Then because of heart surgery she missed some organs. Please pray for little Claire and her family. Also to make a donation to help with there transplants, visit the link on the side bar. The video of Claire going through dialysis on the blog is quite touching. No little child should have to go through so much. We love you Claire and are praying for you!

Friday's Fun Five

Okay so I just really wanted to post.

1. We attempted some family pictures this week. Overall not bad considering our clan. We will see if we decide to make another attempt. Sometimes things just have to be 'good enough.'

2. Posted the wrong link to the New Family Search Website so find the right one here. Daniel and I spent two hours on it last night and we both loved it.

3. Lydia is sporting a new look. It is called the "Fight with a Bike" look. What do you think?

4. Eliza & Liesel have found new joy in playing "Dress Up for Date Night." Their favorite place to go is to the temple.

5. Anyone know of a piano looking for a new home? We rearranged our living room and realized that we might just have some room for just such an item.

Happy Friday!

ten on tuesday

1. We had a fun visit from Grandma last week. We put her to work right away and didn't waste a minute. I think she and I are still recovering from our marathon project week. Here are a couple of the projects...aprons and new stroller covers (Lydia got a new stroller but her seat needs to be recovered already...sigh). We made Peter's baby quilt too but I didn't get a picture. It turned out perfect even with our made up pattern.2. Daniel and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary last week too. Thanks to grandma we had a date night and bought me some new jeans! I love you Daniel. I can't imagine life any better.

3. Eliza sporting her apron and making cookies with her new rolling pin.
4. Lydia had now gone #2 in the potty twice! Look out!
5. I had a great idea to let the girls paint their own fingernails. That turned out to be way more work and mess than I thought. Grandma saw her chance and took off to clean.
6. Let's hear a big GO COUGARS for winning their first game this season against #3 Oklahoma. We are now #9 on the AP pole. Keep it up Cougars!

7. Labor Day we went to the Colorado Springs Hot Air Balloon Festival. By the time we arrived there were already about 25 balloons up and we watched about 30 more go up. It was so neat and the girls loved seeing BIG balloons.8. I got the Family History urge again yesterday. I spent the afternoon on the new Family Search site. Check it out again here.

9. Eliza & Liesel took swimming lessons in August. I can't believe how much better they are after a few lessons. They especially loved the day grandma came with them and let them shower afterwords. Who would have known a shower at the Rec Center could be so entertaining.

10. Peter will be 3 months next week. He is cooing and smiling and is such a happy baby. We all just adore him.
