Valentine's Day

How can a girl get anything better on Valentine's Day. Thank you Daniel for your gift and for the hundreds of everyday things that tell me you love me. I love you!

Painting

A friend gave us a Paint with Water Color Book and we pulled it out yesterday. The girls loved the new activity. I was so impressed with how Eliza painted every spot on her picture. It was a lot of fun but I could tell when we were done because Eliza started drinking the water and painting her tummy. Silly girl. But it was a great activity!

Belated Tag

Sorry Kellie that this is sooooo late...but here are my ten random facts about me.

1. When I was little I was diagnosed with cold urdicaria(I don't know how to spell it)...a skin disorder that basically means I am allergic to cold. (It's a great excuse for not having to learn to ski)

2. My latest craze is photography. One of my goals this year is to take a class somewhere. Daniel actually got me my first photo shoot...It was so fun to work on my eye and actually get paid for something I love. (To bad I was only taking pictures of houses) Here is one of my best shots.

3. I have a love/hate relationship with Daniel's blackberry. I love that he can work wherever he is and I love that I can read blogs during late-night feedings...but I hate how distracting it can be...for both of us.

4. I love to shop...especially when I have money. One of my most favorite shopping trips was over Thanksgiving weekend with my mother-in-law when we bought this beautiful dress for Lydia!

5. I just found out tonight that my brother, Scott and his wife, Nicol are expecting their first baby! Congrats again you guys!

6. I love canning. Just this last summer my mom found me a pressure cooker and I canned my own beans. I also bottled peaches, apples and made jam. Daniel would come home for lunch some days to visit but I was too distracted by my project. Who knew canning could be so fun?

7. I just got a new calling at church but I won't be sustained until Sunday--I am so excited but scared to death.

8. I love taking pictures of my girls before Church. (Probably because I actually do their hair)

9. Daniel and I are planning a trip to celebrate graduating from graduate school. It is a year away but boy it is going to be good!

10. I wish I had more time to post...but discretionary time is extremely limited at our house.

Saying Goodbye

We said goodbye to my mom yesterday as she headed back to Idaho. She was here for two weeks to help with the baby. As we drove away from the airport Eliza just cried and cried and kept saying "I want Grandma! Where is Grandma?" Thanks mom for all your help! A big thanks to Grandma Nancy too...we wouldn't have made it through all the sick days, toothpaste fiasco, or the sleepless nights without you. Thank you Grandmas--We love and miss you!

Lydia's Update

We took Lydia to the doctor this last week for her 2-3 week checkup. She is now 9lbs and 22 2/3 in long. A whole pound in two weeks! The doctor seemed really pleased with her growth. (She is in the 98% for length!) She is sleeping better at night and she eats very well. She is awake more during the day and seems so sweet and mellow.
