Baby #3

That is right. Baby #3 is on the way. We are due January 15th. As I watch Eliza and Liesel growing up, it seems really exciting to add another member to our little family, with his or her own personality and character traits. It is such a gift from our loving Heavenly Father to be a part of something this good. We can't wait to meet you baby #3!

Birthday Celebration

Eliza and Liesel celebrated their birthdays this weekend. Liesel turned one on Saturday and Eliza two on Sunday. Yep, there our little Irish twins. It is so hard to believe how fast they are growing up.

We started they day with pancakes in the form of ones and twos. Here is Eliza wearing hers.


The presents were a big hit. Grandma Nancy got both of the girls baby dolls. (Thanks Grandma Nan) Eliza loves to give her's a bottle and make the sucking noises herself. Daniel got both of the girls a camping chair. Liesel likes them the most, she just sits there and watches her big sister run all over the place.


The birthday cake was fun. I made a chocolate ice cream cake roll. Liesel loved hers and ended up eating two slices. Eliza picked at hers for a while and decided it wasn't worth the effort. Silly girl.


The girls had a great day. We had Daniel home all day too which made it even more special. They were sad to go to bed but had cute new pj's from my mom to sleep in. Thanks Grandma!
Eliza, I love you for your energy and love for life. You give 100% in everything you do. I love how helpful you can be. You are a great big sister.

Liesel, I love you for your sweetness and your tender spirit. I love to watch you take everything in as you watch so closely with your beautiful blue eyes.

Happy Birthday Girls. We love having you in our family!

The Park

Eliza and Liesel love the park. On Monday when Daniel was home, we took the girls to get some pics. It was a little overcast but the girls just loved every minute.


Liesel loves the swings. She probably would be content to swing all day long. I love these pictures of her really just enjoying the experience.



Eliza loves to have a taste of the whole park. She will swing for a while and then head over to the slide and tunnel and then run back. I love this picture of her looking out of a hole in the tunnel. She loves to move the tick-tack-toe pieces but doesn't really know why they are there. It is fun to see her just truly enjoy exploring this new place.

Liesel did discover the slide this visit. I was trying to get a great picture of the two together but alas, photographing two toddlers is impossible. But I did get this great picture of Liesel.

Overall it was a great experience and the girls can't wait to go back again. Hopefully to play rather than for another photo shoot.

Visitors

This Memorial Day Weekend we had some visitors. My friend Britney and her husband Seth came down and it was so good to see them. They spent Saturday with us and we had a great time. Here are some pictures of the fun.

Break Down

This morning Daniel made it about 1/4 of a mile from our house on his way to work and the car died on him. So we took the van over and toed the black hammer home. Daniel was nervous that it was the timing belt which would have made the car useless. But after taking it a part this morning he thinks it is something else. I don' t know what though. To be completely honest, I never knew there were so many different parts to a car. It seems as if every time one of our cars "acts up" I hear about another part. I am so glad I am not a mechanic. Here are a few pics of the mornings quick analysis.
